First day of Bluebird Cam, First Egg... And Mixed Emotions

First Egg!!!

Now for the sad news, for some reason a chickadee decided to peck and drop the first egg out of the box. I have not been able to find any info about chickadees destroying bluebird eggs or taking over the nests, but I watched it happen live with the camera. We put up a second bluebird box to try to stop the chickadees from invading the used box. They haven't been back to either box so far.
